The out-of-hours service operates a patient questionnaire and monitors responses on a weekly basis. The patient questionnaire is anonymous, but patients who wish to continue discussion of a particular issue do have the option to leave their contact details so that we can follow up, initially by telephone or email, to conclusion.
If you want to make a complaint about our service, we ask you to speak to the service manager in the first instance.

My husband was in the final stage of cancer, and having a very uncomfortable night. We had to contact 111, because although we phoned the local hospice we were too soon after the most recent chemotherapy treatment. Firstly, your triage people decided to refer us directly to a doctor. Then, when Dr Akhtar phoned he gave advice about pain management, and subsequently made a home visit to administer an anti-emetic injection. This help prevented my husband from having to return to hospital. He was transferred from home to St Richard's Hospice later on the Friday morning, where he was able to relax. He slipped away very peacefully on the Saturday morning. So thank you for your part in easing his final hours.
David Denning about Worcestershire Out of Hours, July, 2015Wonderful, professional caring service was given to me when I needed help as couldn't move due to my back going into spasm. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were fantastic, just over worked, but that didn't stop them giving me 110% thank you so much, I wish the government would wake up and see what is happening the doctors, nurses, paramedics just can't physically do anymore than they are doing, they need resources and more staffing and some understanding of the system from those above. !!!!
